We welcome you all to the inaugural Annual Meeting of the Australian Battery Society.

In recent years, the importance of batteries in electrifying our daily lives and economic activities has grown tremendously. Across Australia, we are seeing rapid adoption of battery technologies as we take determined steps toward a renewable future—one in which energy storage demands are increasing to ensure reliable supply whenever and wherever it is needed. Will Artificial Intelligence prove to be the key to managing this transition more efficiently?

Australia is blessed with abundant natural resources and has the potential to supply many of the raw materials required to support a strong domestic battery industry. However, our manufacturing sector is not yet fully equipped to sustain a capital-intensive battery industry at scale. Should Australia invest in manufacturing its own batteries to strengthen energy sovereignty and security?

As battery technology continues to evolve, we find ourselves facing more questions than answers. We invite battery researchers across the entire value chain, early-stage battery companies, equipment manufacturers, government representatives, universities, and critical raw material suppliers to join us for two exciting days of presentations, panel discussions, and networking.

Please submit your abstract and register for the conference.
